Unit 5: Consequences of Urbanization
The objectives of Unit 5 are to:
- outline some of the consequences of urbanization
- show that urban problems affect the whole society
- outline the causes and give examples of environmental health hazards, crime and violence and homelessness as three problems associated with cities
- discuss the effects of poverty on urban problems
