Control Small Arms

Join in efforts to control the spread of small arms and light weapons.

Background
The increasing availability of small arms, which are cheap, light, easy to carry, and readily obtainable, is considered by many to be a major factor in the increasing use of younger and younger children by armed groups. View a virtual exhibit on small arms at UNICEF. Visit two-three of the Web sites listed there.

Take Action
Find out what limits your country places on the sale and distribution of small arms. Then, write to your legislative representatives urging them to work to limit the illegal weapons trade, particularly the trade in small arms that can be used by child soldiers.
