Security Council 751 and 1907 Committee on Somalia and Eritrea
Revises Its Guidelines
On 30 May 2013, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 751 (1992) and 1907 (2009) concerning Somalia and Eritrea adopted revised Guidelines for the Conduct of its Work.
A number of sections have been amended, incorporating technical and procedural updates. This latest Guidelines reflects Security Council resolutions on Somalia and Eritrea adopted since the last update of the Guidelines (dated 30 March 2010).
The Committee has adopted the revised Guidelines to facilitate the conduct of its own work and provide useful guidance to Member States in their efforts to implement the relevant Security Council resolutions, including resolution 2093 (2013). The English language version of the revised Guidelines is available on the Committee’s website (www.un.org/sc/committees/751/pdf/751-1907_Committee_Guidelines_English.pdf) and versions of the Guidelines in all six official languages will be made available on the website in due course.
