In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for November:

Security Council

Andrey I. Denisov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation, succeeds Mihnea Ioan Motoc, Permanent Representative of Romania, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Major General Liu Pei ( China) succeeds Lieutenant General Victor E. Renuart, Jr. ( United States) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
