Deputy Head of the Delegation of Ukraine at the 13th and 15th Meetings of the OSCE Council of Ministers (Ljubljana, 2005; Madrid, 2007),  Head of the Delegation of Ukraine at the 14th Meeting of the OSCE Council of Ministers (Brussels, 2006).

In April-May 1994 served as electoral observer for the United Nations Observer Mission in South Africa.

Representative of Ukraine to the UN Security Council in 2000-2001. In March 2001 served as President of the Security Council.

Holds diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
