ON THE SITUATION IN DRC

1. Members of the Security Council requested all parties to the conflict to comply with the time-table established by the Security

Council resolution 1341 (2201) in respect of the disengagement and redeployment of forces.

2. Members of the Council stressed again the need for the parties to honour the commitments they made to take concrete steps

to advance the peace process in the country.

3. Members of the Council welcomed the deployment of the first contingent of MONUC in Kalemie.

4. Members of the Council will continue to keep matter under close observation.
