SECURITY COUNCIL ENDORSES ANGOLA SANCTIONS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS

The following statement was issued today by the President of the Security Council, Robert Fowler (Canada):

The President of the Security Council wishes to state that the members of the Security Council have today considered and approved the Report of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 864 (1993) concerning the situation in Angola, contained in document S/1999/147 of 12 February 1999. The members of the Council endorsed the recommendations contained in the Report.
