  1. Consequences of Population Change in Asia: Methodological Guidelines, APSS No. 102.
    This volume contains the proceedings of the Preparatory Expert Group Meeting on Consequences of Population Change in Asia. The meeting considered the results of a project conducted in Bangladesh, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand where studies had been carried out on the implications of changes in the demographic situation for various aspects of human resources development.

  2. Studies on Consequences of Population Change in Asia:

    This series presents the results of a research project, which involves investigations of the consequences of population change at three different societal levels: household, community and national, in four countries of the region. The aim of the research is to improve the state of knowledge on the relationships between population and development variables. The studies sre aimed at enhancing the capability of planners and policy markers to identify specific and appropriate strategies in integrated plans and policies.

    The interrelationships between population, environment and sustainable development are complex. This publication contains a selection of the papers presented at the Pre-Conference Seminar held on these topics at Jomtien, Thailand, 13-18 May 1991. It is intended to serve as a resource for those concerned with population, environment and sustainable development issues in the Asian and Pacific region.
