NETWORKING ACTIVITIES

The economic and regional nature of ITECD's work has made it imperative to collaborate with institutional to strengthen the cooperation among ESCAP's members and associate members. National focal points, or NFPs, have been established to support the operation and implementation of various initiatives and measures concerning international trade and economic cooperation.

Among these networks established are:

Trade Facilitation Network. The NFPs are responsible for electronic commerce activities.

TISNET. There are over 80 NFPs linked to TISNET. A List of TISNET National Focal Points serve as the access points for trade and investment information.

Network on Research Institutions. The NFPs of trade-related research institutions work on research outputs in key areas of intra-regional trade.

Neworking of Trade-Related Training Facilities. The NFPs are national trade-related centres for training in trade and investment development.
