Regional Adviser on Energy
Budi Sudarsono
Budi Sudarsono was appointed ESCAP's Regional Adviser on Energy from 1 September 1997. Before joining ESCAP, Mr. Sudarsono had 27 years of experience with the Indonesian Badan Tenaga Atom Nasional (BATAN), or National Atomic Energy Agency, including eleven years as a member of the Technical Committee on Energy Resources of the Ministry of Mining and Energy. He has worked in many aspects of energy development and management, including energy planning, energy pricing, power planning, energy substitution and introduction of nuclear power.

Recent missions include:

  • Review of draft energy policy statement of Indonesia (27 October - 7 November 1997)
  • Review of update of Philippines Energy Plan (11 - 13 November 1997)
  • Recommendations for technical assistance activities to Cambodia (15 - 19 December 1997)
