Strategies and policies are developed by the Police Division so as to provide guidance and direction to the police components of peace operations in order to facilitate the implementation of their respective mandates. Primary focus is placed on key tasks performed by the Police components of Peace Operations, such as the provision of interim law enforcement, security support to national policing services and support for reform, restructuring and rebuilding of law enforcement agencies.
