Houses in a village surrounded by a pool of water from massive flooding throughout Southern Sudan, displacing millions of people and destroying crops across the region. The UN has launched an appeal to assist over half a million Sudanese affected by the latest wave of flooding but funding has been slow to arrive. UN agencies and NGO’s in cooperation with the Government of Southern Sudan have been struggling to provide aid to the effected communities despite the logistical constraints.
