The Delmas 33 Voting Center in the capital city of Haiti opened its doors at 6:30 am, with 25 voting stations for 4,000 registered voters. The voting goes smoothly throughout the day with four Council Electoral Provisional (CEP) staff, the Hatian National Police (HNP), the Mandates (those who assign the voters to their respective lines based on their last names) and roaming Chief Polling Supervisors.
Jeanette Dol, 41 years old, waited in line since 5:00 am to vote at 1:14 pm finally. She is overjoyed to vote and thinks the elections are well organized. Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. MINUSTAH Photo/Sophia Paris, 7 February 2006 |
