A group of delegations from Kazakhstan will visit UNHQ to participate
in a series of events on 17 November 2006. From 10:30-10:50, a ceremony
of the presentation of two books (including one written by the President
of Kazakhstan) to the Dag Hammarskjöld Library will be held
at the Woodrow Wilson Reading Room of the Library. From 11:30 a.m
-1:00 p.m., there will be a panel discussion on the theme "Inter-ethnic
and inter-religious accord: sharing experience of Kazakhstan"
at Conference Room 6. UN Publications: United Nations Publications will participate in the Guadalajara International Book Fair, Nov 25 November - 3 December 2006, in Guadalajara, Mexico. This book fair, organized by the Guadalajara University, is the world's largest marketplace for Spanish-language titles. to the Middle East, and author of "The Horseshoe Table: An
Inside View of the UN Security Council" will discuss and sign

Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life will premiere at the United
Nations on 16 November launching a campaign about the world's water
crisis (6:30-7:30pm, Trusteeship Council Chamber). Speaking at the
screening will be Ann Veneman, UNICEF Executive Director; Stephanie
Dujarric, Spokesperson for the Secretary-General; Peter Gleick,
President, Pacific Institute; Congressman Earl Blumenauer; Christina
Norman, President of MTV; Sway Calloway, MTV News Corespondent;
Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter, President of Dew Jam Record; and Arunabha
Ghosh, co-author of the 2006 HDR. During the event, HDR cards with
the button "At least 20" will be distributed to the audience.
