Opening of the 2007 session, 27 February 2007
The 2007 session of the
Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People
was opened by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on 27 February 2007. At the
meeting, the Committee elected members of the Bureau of the Committee: Amb.
Paul Badji (Senegal) as Chairman, Amb. Zahir Tanin (Afghanistan) and Amb.
Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz (Cuba) as Vice-Chairmen, and Amb. Victor Camilleri
(Malta) as Rapporteur. The Committee also adopted its
programme of work for the year.
