How to find Voting Records

Access UNBISnet from the Documents link on the UN home page

United Nations Bibliographic Information System

Under Voting Records...
4.
choose New Kewords Search
5.
Search by UN Resolution symbol and type the resolution symbol without punctuation
6.
Click Go
7. In the resulting record, under detailed voting, you will find a letter before the name of each Member States.
8.
No letter means the the Member States did not vote
9.
N stands for No
10.
A stands for Abstention and Y stands for Yes
11. Voting records can also be retrieved by keywords.
Chosse search by keword and enter your keword (i.e. human rights)
12. Besides, you can limit your search by body.
Choose the relevent body under Limit by action body (i.e. Sercurity Council)
13. Click Go. In the result page click on the title of the desired resolution.
