A general introduction to UN documentation, particularly to research tools, such as the indexes to the documents of the main UN organs, databases prepared by the Dag Hammarskjöld Library (UNBISnet and UN-I-QUE), the UN Internet site, as well as the UN Official Document System (ODS) and the online Treaty Collection.

For starters..... An updated version of a manual containing guidelines on the management of a UN document collection. It is based on a manual designed for the United Nations Information Centres Library Assistants. Some of the information is repeated in our section devoted to UN documentation. (Also available for downloading in Word 2000)

UN Web Search A training guide designed to give an overview of the UN website and to demonstrate effective search methods in selected databases, such as Human Rights, ReliefWeb, UN Treaty Collection and Press Releases.
