Designed to be an introduction to the Official Document System of
the United Nations (ODS), a full-text database. This presentation
describes the types of material found in the database, demonstrates
effective search methods for retrieving documents, explains the
functionality of the "Advanced Search" screen and shares essential
search tips.
- Introduction to UNBISnet (PowerPoint presentation)
Designed to be an introduction to UNBISnet, the United Nations Bibliographic Information System. This presentation describes the types of records found in the database and gives sample search strategies for retrieving bibliographic, voting and speech records. Special emphasis is placed on using this database to find the full text of recent UN documentation in all six official languages.

Designed to complement information on Security Council documentation available in the Research Guide

this presentation illustrates with examples the journey of major types of documents, e.g., resolutions, presidential statements,

Designed to give an overview of the UN website and to demonstrate effective search methods in selected databases. The training guide covers the major areas of UN activity, explores the wealth of information available in the Research Guide (http://www.un.org/Depts/dhl/resguide/) and includes search techniques for the following databases: Human Rights, ReliefWeb, UN Treaty Collection and Press Releases.
