The second event in the Lectures and Conversations Series, "The Tsunami Disaster : Beyond Relief Towards Development" will take place on 25 July 2005 at UN Headquarters in the Dag Hammarskjöld Library Auditorium, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. It is held in commemoration of the birthday of Dag Hammarskjöld who was born on 29 July 1905.
The event focuses on the UN and
worldwide response to the Tsunami of December 2004.
Under-Secretary-General Shashi Tharoor will interview Kathleen Cravero, UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director, Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery and
Margareta Wahlström,
Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs
