 a The actual delivery of the vehicles took place in 1996. However, the weapons were purchased with funds from fiscal year 1995. The import of the vehicles was therefore indicated in the report relating to 1995.

b UH-1H helicopters were transferred by the Government of the United States and not imported by Mexico. Agreement has been reached that they will be used exclusively for the fight against drug-trafficking, disaster relief for the civilian population and the support of community work.

c Bell 206 helicopters were transferred to the National Defence Secretariat by the Procuraduría General de la República.
