Kirsten Duckett
Kirsten Duckett has been an
instructor in the United Nations Language and
Communications Programme since 2008. She has worked as an educator in
Belgium, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico, South Korea, the United States
and Venezuela, including work as an instructor of language, teaching
methodology, linguistics and intercultural skills.
Ms. Duckett earned her Master’s degree in Teaching English
to Speakers of Other Languages at the City University of New York. Having
studied anthropology-linguistics previously, she has maintained an interest in
how people negotiate the cross-cultural gap.
An avid language learner herself, Ms Duckett has studied several languages and holds a postgraduate degree in Dutch.
