LOCATION: Aouzou Strip, Republic of Chad

DURATION: May 1994 - June 1994

STRENGTH: 9 military observers and 6 international civilian staff

FATALITIES: None

EXPENDITURES: $67,471

FUNCTION: Established to verify the withdrawal of the Libyan administration and forces from the Aouzou Strip in accordance with the decision of the International Court of Justice. UNASOG accomplished its mandate after both sides - the Republic of Chad and the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya - declared withdrawal to be complete
